Concerns about the Greece's debt crisis continued to put pressure on the Europe Stocks. Markets in Britain, France and Germany ended the Monday's session sharply lower.
London's FTSE 100 Index plunged 3.2%. In Paris, the CAC 40 Index dropped 4%, while the Berlin's DAX sank 5.3%.
The sell off in Europe caused the Asian markets to open solidly lower on Tuesday.
Japan's Nikkei 225 index opened 1.2 percent down at 8,676.12. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index slipped 1 percent to 19,420.47. Australia's S&P ASX 200 dropped 1.1 percent to 4,095.50.
With the US markets closed Monday for the Labor Day holiday, investors are waiting for the opening of Wall Street tomorrow.
